Jamie Benn spoke with the media on Game 7 against the St. Louis Blues

“We knew this was gonna be a long series,” Benn said. “They’re a good team, and they play good team defense and have a great goalie.”

Stars’ goalie Ben Bishop had an astounding series finale. The former Blues’ draft pick ended the game with 52 saves and an incredible 96.3% save percentage.

One of the two goals that Bishop allowed was deemed questionable by many spectators who thought that Bishop was hit in the head prior to the goal.

Benn said that if the Stars had the whistle they would have probably blown it.

“It is what is,”‘ Benn said. “You cant worry about it. You’ve gotta move on.”

The series ending loss brings the Stars’ season to close. The Stars have now gone 11 straight years without making it passed the second round of the playoffs.
